About Our Founder –
Carol Pardue-Spears
After nearly 20 years in patient care at El Camino Hospital, Carol Spears saw the life-changing impact of in-home care while helping a senior client. Moved by the immediate improvements in her client’s health and well-being, she set out to bring that same level of care to more families.
In 2002, with the support of her sons, she founded Family Matters In-Home Care. What began as a small family effort quickly grew through word of mouth, built on trust, heart, and the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness. Today, Carol and her family remain deeply involved, continuing to lead with the same compassion and commitment that shaped the agency from the start.
